Peace and Love were easily the most shared paintings created during my 2023 One Hundred Painting Challenge.  Moments before I began to paint Peace and Love, I saw a news report depicting the charred bodies of innocent infants, which had been burned to death in a hospital in Israel.  I was profoundly disturbed by the extraordinary cruelty of this event--the only crime these beautiful babies committed was daring to exist!  The One Hundred Painting Challenge is about "stream of consciousness painting"--there is no advance planning, you simply step up to the paper or canvas, and paint your truth, as it is in that moment.  I believe that in that moment, my soul was screaming, "PEACE!  Be still," to the entire world--I was overwhelmed by the violence that has consumed every corner of our world since 2016.  This painting is a plea to everyone to value life above all else--above money, above power, above material goods.  Stop the madness--embrace each other with love, kindness, and compassion.   "Love" was painted immediately after I finished Peace, and I believe they are companion pieces--even though it was not planned!

This premium giclee print is created using premium, 175gsm fine-art paper. Equipped with a thick, 2mm (0.07") window-cut mattboard (passpartout)  that comes in a natural white color. These 16' x 20" (41 × 51cm) prints can be hung as-is or inserted in a protective frame of your choice.  Please note that in order to better preserve the print through transport, some assembly may be required upon receival.
